The GreenDot Prepaid MasterCard is offered by Green Dot Corporation (formerly Next Estate). The cards are issued through Columbus Bank & Trust Company. Transactions are processed by TSYS. GreenDot/Next Estate is one of the earliest entrants in this space.

Customer Service
Customer Service is not free. There are a small number of Better Business Bureau complaints regarding this card, but they have an unsatisfactory report with the BBB.

The great thing about a green dot is that you can purchase a money pak at lots of locations and load it from a phone or on the internet. Found great information on it Green Dot Prepaid MasterCard

They told me that my card will come in 7 - 10 business day and it did. No major customer service problems thus far. One catch though is that the monthly fee is charged at the first month too. At least they dont charge me everytime I use my card. I got mine at the online mastercard application website.

To Anyone thinking about getting a Green Dot Prepaid Master Card. A Word to the Wise-- When having problems and you need to speak to a representive they give you the run around. I was told my card would be mailed out to me in 3-5 days. This is the seventh day and I am still waiting. I can not even make online purchasing because when I was on the telephone getting my card info. from a representive I was disconnective.When I called back I was told that that the rest of the info. I needed like the security number that you need they could not give it out a second time. I told them they never gave me the number because the line was disconnected. I never got the security number and I''m still waiting on my card.I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A PREPAID CARD EVER AGAIN! THEY PUT YOU THROUGH A LOT OF BULLSH_ _, AND IT''S YOUR MONEY!
